Manual Manic Procedures, the anticipated new full-length from Cleveland death metal behemoths 200 STAB WOUNDS, is out today on Metal Blade Records!

A superlative sophomore effort that follows their tour de force debut, 2021’s Slave To The Scalpel, Manual Manic Procedures is a brutal slab of old-school death metal with a contemporary edge. Not for the faint-hearted, the record may well be the album that puts classic gore-themed ferocity back into the metal community’s collective consciousness. The album’s artwork — graphically depicting radical surgery on somebody who may or may not be conscious — is an immediate indicator of what this record is all about. No punches pulled, no holds barred, just blood-soaked death metal.

The songs on Manual Manic Procedures are not safe for work – perhaps unsafe most anywhere. But that’s it’s dark charm in a world where even heavy music can play it too safely. 200 STAB WOUNDS have crafted Manual Manic Procedures for themselves and like-minded brethren: thrill-seekers, carnage cravers, horror fans, and aficionados of the most extreme metal. Above all, 200 STAB WOUNDS created a future death metal classic.

In celebration of the record’s official release, today the band delivers a video for “Gross Abuse.”

Describes vocalist/guitarist Steve Buhl, “‘Gross Abuse’ is a basic death metal torture song. It’s so simple, heavy, and groovy. It’s heavy as fuck and just brutal – so we needed lyrics to match that. It’s your standard torture-fucking-murder-fucking-death metal song about killing somebody.”

200 STAB WOUNDS hack ‘n’ slash their way to the upper echelon of death metal… Manual Manic Procedures is the real shit. Everything else is just offal.” — Decibel Magazine

“…a solid work of modern death metal. Every member of 200 STAB WOUNDS brings heavy excellence to this album, and fans of the style should be thoroughly satisfied.” — Metal Injection

“…definitely one of the death metal albums of the year…” — Rock Hard Germany

“This album is foul and repulsive, and horrible enough to turn 200 STAB WOUNDS into a big, blood-soaked deal.” – Blabbermouth

“…an ambitious headbuster that moves from fast-growl whiplash to deeply heavy chug.” — Stereogum on “Hands Of Eternity

“The emerging Ohio death metal sensations return with their second LP as they continue to conquer the extreme world one riff at a time.” — Knotfest

“…a bloody mouthful of death metal from genre fans for genre fans, who will gladly accept the offer.” — Slam Germany

“…recommended to the most hardened death metallers.” — Rock Hard Italy

“They combine punishingly short tracks with a couple of thick, sinewed, longer songs, which add heft to the running order. But listen carefully, dig below the surface, and 200 STAB WOUNDS are not just a blistering fist of blast beats and riffs. There is a contemporary element, as well as groove and melodic power, lurking here.” — Metal Talk

“…one of the best live acts in metal. I’ve seen them a handful of times, because they’re on the road more often than they’re on the toilet, and every performance has improved over the last. That’s bled through to their recorded music, with tracks like ‘Hands Of Eternity’ being more ambitious than anything on Slave To The Scalpel without discarding their bloody edge.” — Invisible Oranges

“Manual Manic Procedures is a home run from 200 STAB WOUNDS, with the band taking all the energy and passion from their debut and live shows, and beefing it up with sharpened songwriting skills.” –
Wall Of Sound

“…a well-oiled war machine of an album; at once both ferocious and precise. 200 STAB WOUNDS have crafted an instant classic that should easily shove its way to the forefront of any Album Of The Year discussion, and leave the majority of the competition devastated in its terrible wake.” — The Metal Pit

“With Manual Manic Procedures, 200 STAB WOUNDS took their version of slam death metal and delivered a solid and step-up with their second album. Adding elements of ambience and progressive elements to their sound, created a unique take on slam/brutal death metal and the band nails it. ” — This Day In Metal

“…by far one of 200 Stab Wounds’ most cohesive and refined works to date. Although its use of experimentation and production may be subtle to the average metal listener, the release shows significant growth from the band, both musically and conceptually.” — Boolin Tunes

“…an utterly blinding release that’s guaranteed to swivel some heads upon its June 28th release… A volcanic release not more than half an hour long, 200 STAB WOUNDS have hit a homerun and one can only imagine where the band dare yet go from here. Put on your mouth guard, get the gloves up and be ready. 200 STAB WOUNDS are coming for you.” — The Razor’s Edge

“…a bona fide stomper. There are truly at least half a dozen riffs and fills that stop time once they materialize.” — Ghost Cult

“…another stellar entry into the 200 library. This band is destined for greatness and this upcoming album proves it.” — Technical Music Review

“Manual Manic Procedures is here to grind you to pulp and spit your body out through a thin straw. Vicious!” — Teeth Of The Divine
